Experience the joy of registering with your dog for the Fundamentals of Dog Training and Behavior 1 workshop - a unique opportunity to share quality time with your furry friend and Cesar Millan! However, due to space, safety, and logistical considerations, only a limited number of participants can bring their dogs to Fundamentals 1.
Please note that this workshop is not designed for rehabilitation; we focus on fundamental dog behavior and training. To ensure a positive experience for all, every candidate dog undergoes a thorough screening process for approval, with strict restrictions on aggressive behavior toward dogs or people.

who teaches the workshop?
Cesar Millan is the lead instructor for all workshops. Accompanying Cesar, a team of seasoned trainers, handpicked for their expertise, will provide individual attention and hands-on training to each student.
where are the courses held?
Courses take place at Cesar Millan's Dog Psychology Center in Santa Clarita, California and at our partner facility, Country Inn Pet Resort in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
are there any restrictions or prerequisites for attending the courses?
- All students above the age of 18 are welcome to join.
- Physical activities are integral, including walks on varying terrains, swimming, agility training, and hands-on interactions with dogs. Participants should be physically capable and check course-specific prerequisites on the individual course page.

english is not my native language. do you offer translation services?
Fundamentals 1 is conducted exclusively in English, and unfortunately, we do not offer translation services.
can i bring more than one dog? do you have special pricing if i bring more than one dog?
Only one dog per participant is allowed. If you wish to bring a second dog, a separate human companion must register and pay the full course fee.
if i bring a dog, what vaccination records are required? how do i get them to you?
- Required vaccinations include rabies, bordetella, DHPP (distemper, hepatitis, parainfluenza, and parovirus). H3N8 inoculation and a negative fecal test may also be necessary.
- Proof of vaccination, stamped by your vet, must be received before attending the course.
- Dogs attending Fundamental 1 must be spayed or neutered without exceptions.
- Instructions for submitting vaccination proof will be provided after registration.
if i bring a dog, do i have to bring a crate?
You do not need to bring a crate for your dog to the workshop.
Misbehavior or issues?
Fundamentals 1 is not a dog rehabilitation program, but a human-centered educational program. It is not designed to resolve a dog's issues during the program (although many dogs are helped). Rather, the purpose is to teach you the Pack Leader skills so that you can be the leader your dog seeks and needs.
If i do not bring a dog, will i get hands-on experience with dogs?
Most of our students do not bring a dog, yet report the same satisfaction and benefit from the program as those who do.
when will i know that i'm accepted for fundamentals 1?
We will send you an email confirmation once you have been accepted into the course. Please refer to the terms and conditions for more information.
What is included in the course price?

do you arrange hotel accommodations?
You are responsible for arranging your own lodging and are free to choose accommodations that suit your preferences. While we offer recommendations for local, dog-friendly hotels, please note that we do not make arrangements on your behalf. Information on suggested hotels will be provided upon approval of your course registration. It is not mandatory to stay at the recommended hotel.
do you offer a shuttle or other transportation?
We do not provide shuttle or transportation services. Participants are responsible for arranging their transportation to and from the airport and between the hotel and the Dog Psychology Center (DPC). While renting a car is recommended for convenience, many participants organize carpools independently. Although we encourage carpooling, please be aware that we do not facilitate or organize these arrangements. Alternatively, you may explore ride-sharing options such as Uber or Lyft for added convenience instead of renting a car.
do you offer special pricing for couples or families?
While we welcome participation by couples or families, we do not offer family or group discounts. The program fee covers only one human (or one human with one dog).
do you offer scholarships or reduced rates?
Currently, we do not offer a reduced rate.
do you offer a payment plan?
Unfortunately, we do not offer payment plans for our programs. Full tuition payment is required at the time of registration. For details on our refund policy, please refer to the terms and conditions section.
what is the refund policy?
PAYMENT:
- Credit Card is the sole accepted form of payment, including Visa, Mastercard, and American Express.
REFUND POLICY WITHOUT A DOG:
1. Registration is refundable within 24 hours of booking.
2. Cancellations made after 24 hours and up to 30 days before the course start date will be refunded at 50% (minus a 10% processing fee).
3. No refunds for cancellations made less than 30 days before the course starts or for no-shows at the event.
4. Course transfers and rescheduling requests are not permitted.
5. Refunds will be issued to the original credit card used for registration.
6. Refunds may take 1-2 billing cycles to reflect on your credit card statement.

2. If your dog is not approved, a notification will be sent to the registered email. You have 24 hours from when the email is sent to cancel for a full refund of the registration fee. 3. Cancellations made after 24 hours and up to 30 days before the course start date will be refunded at 50%, minus a 10% processing fee.

CANCELLATIONS BY CESAR'S WAY, INC:
- Cesar's Way, Inc. reserves the right to cancel any Training Cesar’s Way programs for any reason whatsoever, including insufficient signups, force majeure, acts of God, natural disasters, riots, and reasons beyond our control.
- In such a case, a refund of payments received by Cesar’s Way, Inc. shall constitute full settlement and shall release Cesar’s Way, Inc. from further financial liability.
- The financial burden of Cesar’s Way, Inc. shall be limited to the amount paid to Cesar’s Way, Inc. for the Training Cesar’s Way course only and does not extend to cover any travel or other costs incurred (e.g., non-refundable air tickets, visa fees if applicable, hotel accommodations and trip insurance premiums).
- It is recommended to consider trip cancellation insurance that includes coverage for the Training Cesar’s Way course fees.
